The symbol of glass and its meaning
When the Deutsche Glastechnische Gesellschaft in Frankfurt am Main published the 22nd year of its magazine "Glastechnische reports" in 1948 for the first time after the Second World War, a mysterious sign was used on the cover page: the eight lying on the cross. At first, this sign did not have a special meaning for many. It was thought to be the joking yet true glassmaker proverb that goes: "It is an infinite cross to make glass." Only later did it become known that the sign represents an old symbol for glass and has a deeper meaning.
Let us get to the bottom of this meaning together in theory and practice. We are looking forward to your visit.
